Tutorial with Jane....
After having a tutorial with jane about how my work based learning is coming along, she suggested I post some information on what I have lined up for the project so far. I have a couple freelance jobs lined up; one of which is of Louise, a heavily pregnant woman who contacted me about having some photographs of her, her partner and her baby bump. She is also interesting in a follow-up shoot once her baby is born.

First Test shoot. Digital....
Quick edit
My idea for Formal Intervention was to photograph close friends and/or family members, just standard head and shoulder portraits and then either place a physical object onto their face during the shoot or to scratch my intervention onto the negative. I will try a few differnt techniques to see what works better. I will also try using laminate to draw onto and place over the neg. I did a digital test shoot in the small studio to get an idea of how the portraits may look before editing them...
Lionel Deluy...
Recently i found out about a photographer called Lionel Deluy, he also became a huge inspiration when it came to ideas for my 'Formal Intervention' project. The overall look of his images seem really raw, which i like. No airbrushing or removing imperfections, which is the total oppisite of Rankins work. Once again, check out Lionel Deluys website, its wicked.

Rankin...
Thought I'd start by posting a cheeky link to Rankin's website, he was the starting point for my inspiration on our current 'Formal Intervention' project. I'd studied his work previously when i was on ND and it blew me away. If you havent already seen it, check it out.
